A glass beads tape/sheeting uses microscopic glass spheres to bend and reflect light back to the source. 

Glass beads tapes are about 30% efficient. This is a disadvantage. However, there are three advantages that glass bead tape has over most prismatic tapes.

Firstly, glass beads reflective tapes are much more affordable. This is because they are simpler to manufacture. 

Additionally, most glass bead tapes can be CAD cut, meaning that they can be used to create graphics and signs that reflect light. 

Thirdly, glass beads tapes reflect light back at wider angles.
