Glass bead tapes use microscopic glass spheres to bend and reflect light back to the light source. There are three advantages that glass bead tape has over most prismatic tapes.  Firstly, reflective tape made with glass beads is more affordable.  This is because they are simpler to manufacture. Secondly, in most cases, glass bead tapes can be cut using CAD software, allowing you to make signs or graphics with letters, numbers and designs. Thirdly, light is reflected at wider angles by tapes made of glass beads.
